New Dimensions is an agency which is licensed through the province of Alberta to administer a Family Day Home Service. Educators contract with our agency to offer a Family Day Home that provides a child care arrangement most like home while their parents work or attend school. Children are cared for in a safe, healthy and stimulating family environment. Opportunities are offered for small-group play, as well as lots of individual attention. Educators may care for up to six children not including their own. These restrictions allow the Educator to meet the needs of each child.
We offer child care services to all families of children with special needs, infant, toddler and pre-school ages, as well school age children (up to 12 years old) if required. We also provide respite care to families who require it.
Our Family Day Homes offer an unlimited variety of creative and imaginative activities including music, arts and crafts, cooking, dramatic play, stories, field trips, and science activities. While each of our Educators and their day home services are unique, daily routines provide children opportunities for active and quiet times, indoor and outdoor play, group and individual activities, music, stories, rest, toileting and nourishment. Educators are expected to provide activities and opportunities that stimulate growth in all developmental areas (social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional).
